Hi Diane,

Thank you so much for your comment about living in the house in The Circus! It certainly sounds like it was a great place to live while being a student in Bath! Thanks again. Melanie

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your post! It is always great to hear from people who lived in a house or had a connection with it (often one of the more difficult elements of telling the story of a house in more recent times is finding details of people who lived in the house). I'm glad to hear you had such a great experience. All part of its history! Melanie

How fantastic! It can be difficult to piece together more recent details of the history of a house, especially when it is divided, so this is a lovely addition to the story. Thank you for posting. Kind regards, Melanie

Three friends and I lived at no. 11 on the first floor from 1998 to 1999 while studying at Bath College at the top of the hill. The Colonel and his wife downstairs were our landlords, I remember visiting them, and their chandelier! They visited us too, when we had floor shaking parties... It was very much student accommodation, huge rooms with high ceilings but all a bit the worse for wear.

Hi Mel
I enjoyed reading your research and article very much! I am also a descendant of Frederick Wheeler! I am his great great granddaughter. I am so interested to see the post above as I do not know Chris and I did not know that there are other Architects in the family (one of my cousins is an architect). Are you able to pass over my email to Chris so we can get in touch - I would be very grateful.
Thank you so much!
